RESIDENCIES
Our residencies features the use of theater and song to present the students' completed work for their parents and community in the school auditorium. Lesson plans for each week will be provided at a Professional Development Session with the participating teachers.
Theatre of Will's S.T.E.A.M. program that is currently being conducted in LAUSD schools. Sponsored by the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, the residency integrates the arts into a curriculum-based teaching format for science and math.

It is a multi-week residency utilizing theater, music and visual arts to supplement classroom work of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Seasoned Teaching/Artists come to each school and engage the teachers and students in a fun learning environment.

Workshops cover energy efficientcy topics such as water and energy conservation. Exercises include using tools to measure home water and electricity usage. Students learn how effectively conservation methods will drastically reduce their home water and electricity costs.

This pilot program is currently offered in Councilman Paul Krekorian's Los Angeles City Council District 2. Eight Elementary schools have been chosen to receive this exciting new program. The program makes NGSS standards come alive on stage in a fun and edicational format for Los Angeles Unified School District Fifth Grade students.
