Through the productions of Theatre of Will, students can explore the mysteries and tragic complexities of Zelda Fitagerald's mind or enjoy a visit with Thomas Jefferson as he envisions America's future.

Each award-winning presentation comes complete with teachers' guides, appendices and time chronologies that may be used to supplement schools' curriculum.

Jefferson

Meet Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson visits your school to discuss the Continental Congress, the Contstituional Convention, and life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. A Q&A session follows with the actor, who answers the questions still in character.

Albert
Einstein

Einstein: A Stage Portrait is a one-man play in which the great scientist explains how he came up with the theory of relativity, and the idea that light rays were bent by the force of gravity. He talks about Isaac Newton and his discovery of gravity, and about his belief that moral progress is more important than scientific progress, and how that belief caused him anguish in his professional career.

Richard
Wright

Wright From America deals with the personal and literary life of the author of "Native Son," Richard Wright, the first great African American novelist. In this 3-person play, Wright attempts to purge the ghosts of prejudice and bigotry that haunted American life in the early 20th Century. He has a conversation with Mames Baldwin about the future of literature and reads from "Native Son."

Zelda
Fitzgerald

Bye Bye Blackbird is a haunting look at the life of the highly-complex and talented Zelda Fitzgerald, focusing on her struggles as a woman in the 1920s and as the wife of the renowned author F. Scott Fitzgerald. This production is most appropriate for high school students and would serve as a great adjunct to AP English classes.
Grades 11 and up
